AFTERNOON MOODS
METRO SERIES CONCERT # 4

C0116_BP171126.jpg

Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of the Faun begins the journey with its languid and lush depiction of the “desires and dreams of the faun in the heat of the afternoon”.  Grieg's colourful music to Peer Gynt takes the orchestra on a voyage around the world from the swift sunrise of Africa through to the dark northern Hall of the Mountain King before the afternoon is brought to a close by the famous final victory march of William Tell.
